Das Wetter auch heute wieder regnerisch. Nachdem der nächste Bus in die Stadt erst in 20 Minuten kommen sollte, dachte ich mir ich laufe und musste feststellen, dass der Fussgängermodus der verschiedenen Navigationsapps und ich nicht wirklich kompatibel sind. Die Anzeige wo man sich befindet ist z.T. irreführend und maps.de und scout sagen gar nicht während google maps so hilfreiche Tipps gibt wie gehen Sie die Straße nach Osten (ich brauche Navigationshilfmittel weil ich keine Ahnung habe wo die Himmelsrichtungen sind). Letztendlich ist es mir aber gelungen mit einigen Umwegen in die Stadt zu gelangen. The weather today again rainy. After the next bus to city was supposed to come in 20 min I decided to go by foot. I found out that the walking mode at my navigationapps needs to be improved till I can find my way easily. Sometimes it is hard to find out in which direction to go. Two apps are not speaking at all and google maps tells me to go this street in east direction (I need navigation because I have no clue in which direction east is). Finally I managed to get to CDB.
Ich bin hab dann eine die Weta Workshop Tour gemacht, das sind die special effects Specialisten verschiedener Filme (Herr der Ringe, Avatar, Chroniken von Narnia, Elysium.....). War ganz ok, aber nach dem Te Papa gestern ist man einfach verwöhnt. I than did the Weta workshop tour, this are the special effect guys of various movies (Lord of the rings, Avatar, Chronicles of Narnia, Eysium...). It was ok, but by far not as good as Te Papa yesterday.
Noch mit der Standseilbahn zum Aussichtspunkt und wieder mit der Navigationsapp im Fussgängermodus über den Botanischen Garten in die Wohnung (immerhin dann noch 144 Höhenmeter und 1,5 KM). With the cable car up the hill an again trying to use the navigationapp to get at the place im staying (144 m "climb" and 1,5 KM).
Interessant dass die Waschmaschinen hier sich horizontal drehen. Der Trockner ist im Regelfall (zumindest hab ich es schon 3 mal so gesehen) über der Waschmaschine hängend angebracht. Interesting that washing machines work totally different to the german washing maschines. The dryer is normally hanging over the washing machine.
Morgen werde ich die Nordinsel dann verlassen es geht mit Fähre und dann Zug nach Christchurch. Tomorrow I´m going to leave the north island of NZL by ferry and train to Christchurch.
